His keen interest in the subject made him resign from Government service and take to managerial positions in indirect tax matters in Sundaram Clayton Ltd, Chennai and later in Enfield India Ltd. Now he is in practice over three decades and has a wide range of experience in handling indirect tax related problems in different sectors – iron and steel, textiles, cement, automobiles, food products, engineering parts and components and a variety of services too. He is a convincing speaker he has also served as for a number of years. He has wide range of experience in arguing cases before the Tribunal at different Benches besides before various departmental authorities. He has also a number of books on indirect tax matters with shri R. Krishnan.
