foreign court. It consists of 14 chapters.
Chapter 1 is an introductory chapter
which explains the development of law of Torts and its general concept.
Chapters 2 and 3 deals with torts of
negligence and medical negligence committed against persons towards whom there
is a duty to take care.
Chapter 4 deals with torts trespass
committed against the person (assault, battery, false imprisonment, intentional
infliction of emotional distress, and fraud), trespass committed against the
land (trespass to land, trespass to chattels, and conversion)
Chapter 5 deals with nuisance.
Chapters 6, 7, 8 and 10 deal with absolute
liability, no fault liability (Motor Vehicles Act), product liability and
vicarious liability
Chapter 9 deals with tort against trade
relationships, passing off.
Chapter 11 deals with environmental
torts
Chapters 12 and 13 deals with torts of
misrepresentation, misfeasance in public office and constitutional torts.
Chapter 14 deals with various remedies
as compensation, damages and injunction.
