Preeti Agarwala

Preeti Agarwala is a multilingual Judge (English, Hindi, Bengali, Spanish) with over 13 years of experience in judicial services, specializing in Criminal Law, Family Law, and Child Rights. She has served in various esteemed positions including District & Additional Sessions Judge, Delhi, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, East Delhi, and Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board-IV.

Beyond her judicial career, she has contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor of English Literature at the University of Delhi, focusing on literary theory and comparative literature. A passionate social worker and journalist, she has created the documentary “We Shall Overcome” based on the lives of Kamla Nagar street children and has worked with The Asian Age on its editorial desk.

Preeti Agarwala has been recognized with several academic and cultural honors, including topping Miranda House in M.A. (English), qualifying UGC-NET (English), and winning multiple awards in creative writing, dramatics, and chess.
