Mr. Hitender Mehta, FCS, FCA, LL.B., is Managing Partner of CENTRUM LEGAL, a corporate legal advisory firm in India. Advisor to many Indian and multinational companies, his practice areas include corporate laws, foreign exchange laws, cyber laws, labour and industrial laws, dispute resolution, taxation, special economic zones, real estate and bilateral/ multilateral trade agreements. He has been advising on legal compliance management, corporate disputes resolution, business structuring involving mergers, demergers, acquisitions and slump sale, giving opinions on complex legal issues, conducting due diligence exercises to facilitate business acquisitions, strategic business partnerships, joint venture agreements, etc.

Mr. Mehta is renowned Author of the books, “Limited Liability Partnerships –Law and Practice”, “Law & Practice relating to Special Economic Zones” and Co-Author of the book - “Secretarial Audit: Dimensions and Deliverables”. Besides, he has been Co-Editor of the book “India Business Guide – Start-up to Set-up”.

Mr. Mehta has been a distinguished Member of –
the Central Board of Trustees, Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) since January 2024
the Central Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for a four years’ term (2019-23)
the Committee of Group of Experts, constituted by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India to examine the simplification of LLP Act, Rules and approach/ methodology for promoting LLPs and matters related thereto 
the Committee, constituted by the MCA to identify the tax issues arising out of convergence between the Companies Act, 1956, IFRS, DTC and GST and matters related thereto
